All TCSS schools in the Northside and Tuscaloosa County High School Attendance Zones will implement a two-hour delay for Monday, May 19, 2025.
The delay is due to continued clean-up from storms Sunday, and to give our buses more time to travel in these areas.
The Tuscaloosa County School System has immediate opportunities for bus drivers and bus aides. We invite you to an interest meeting to learn more about becoming a TCSS Bus Driver or Bus Aide.
There is a chance of severe weather for our area this evening, March 4, 2025. Individual athletic events may be rescheduled. Coaches will provide information to teams on specific events.
There are no changes to the school day for Tuesday, March 4, and afternoon extended day programs will operate as normal.
Due to the extreme cold, all Tuscaloosa County School System schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Due to the extreme cold and the possibility of hazardous travel, all Tuscaloosa County School System schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, January 21, 2025. All extracurricular activities are canceled for January 21, 2025.
Due to the possibility of winter weather for our area, all Tuscaloosa County School System schools and offices will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025. All extracurricular activities are canceled for January 10.

Friday, November 8, 2024, will be an Early Dismissal Day for all schools in the Northside and Sipsey Valley attendance zones of Tuscaloosa County School System. All other TCSS schools will operate on a regular schedule for this day.
October is Bullying Prevention Month, a time to celebrate the importance of kindness and respect, and take a stand against hostility and intimidation. But this commitment lasts all year long.
